About
Filmcamp is an ad-hoc unconference, born from the desire to share new ideas in, and learn about, the filmmaking industry in an open environment. If you'd like to present a talk/demo, participate as an attendee, or hand out wads of your hard earned cash to all of us at Filmcamp please click here to sign-up and tell us about yourself or your topic.
Seriously. What is Filmcamp?
Filmcamp is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees. This event will bring together interesting people in the creative, media, IT and other sectors to share ideas in a collegial atmosphere of unabashed geekery.
It is an event for really smart people and really, really smart people to network, learn and share in an open environment.
Filmcamp is NOT an unconference for filmmakers. Filmcamp is an independent, grassroot-run, inclusive event. Therefore, all are invited to participate and share - filmmakers and non-filmmakers alike. It is an unconference for filmmaking!
Film is a powerful medium and it can communicate, tell stories, inform and entertain. And we'd like to see you make films that do these in the very near future. If you end up not working on a film, that's quite OK too. Someday you will.
Participants (a.k.a. Campers)
Campers comprise of presenters and attendees.
If you're attending Filmcamp for the first time, you must present.
OK, not really.
Anyway, those interested in presenting (e.g. giving a talk, running a workshop, showcasing a demo, holding a seance to communicate with dead celebrity animals*, etc.) may click at the link below and write in to Chris Gomez with their name, title of the topic, how much money they plan to contribute to the expedition to find Shangri-la, and other relevant information.

Though this is not an official "NC 16" certification. We're using this sticker to bring to your attention that your attendance at this event demands your understanding that the conference is meant for open, and sometimes passionate, discussions. If dirty 4-letter words like... er... "dirt" make you uneasy, this event is not for you. Sorry - but that's just how it is. Nothing is perfect.
